Spider-sponges, also written as spider sponges, were a type of flora native to the planet Geonosis. Nests of spider-sponges lived in the air vent tunnel between the power generator hub and the fusion reactor in the Geonosian droid factories in 22 BBY. The creatures survived on the toxic waste gases produced by the factory.
