Squark-bats were a type of bat. In 4 ABY, the Pantoran public relations representative of the New Republic Senate Olia Choko was interviewed in Hanna City on the planet Chandrila by reporter Tracene Kane of the Queen of the Core Network. When Kane asked Choko if she was ready to begin the interview, the Pantoran hestitated with a strained smile on her face and looked like a panicked squark-bat frozen in the beam of a miner's headlamp before signaling that she was ready.
