Canon Legends version → Linked from 4 articles
Staga were large, horned animals native to the planet Ambria. They were transported to the planet Taanab as a farm stock along with other creatures during the settlement of the planet as an agricultural outpost in 2320 BBY, where they were found in the pens of the meat-processing plants near the temperate poles. Staga meat was used in the dish Salted Staga-Sub.
