Strills were a type of creature with thick brown fur during winter. The Mandalorian known as the Armorer wore a mantle of thick winter strill fur over her armor while living in a secret covert on the planet Nevarro in 9 ABY. She continued wearing the fur after moving to the Glavis Ringworld, then a world with no name, and then the planet Mandalore.
