Tzorbi

The Tzorbi were a sentient species. At some point, they established a medical laboratory at their homeworld. The Tzorbi eventually became one of the first species to join the Galactic Republic, which was founded in 25,053 BBY. Millennia before 3643 BBY, however, they became extinct, with the remains of some of the members of the species eventually becoming fossilized at their homeworld.

Around that year, an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to study the fossils of the Tzorbi. The latter individual collected samples of genetic traces from the aliens' remains and also discovered their ancient laboratory.
