An unidentified creature resembling an octopus resided within a river on the Forest Moon of Endor, and it clung to the head of the Ewok Latara after she jumped into the river in order to retriever the sunken canoe which she had been sailing in. A terrified Latara hastily pulled the creature off her head. It was later seen again clinging to Latara's head when returned to land to regroup with the other Ewoks who were on the canoe, and she pulled it off again and tossed it aside.
