A species known as ursi was domesticated at some point and the creatures were frequently kept as house pets by the Bothans, a sentient species native to the Mid Rim planet Bothawui. The Bothans viewed the creatures to be cuddly. The Bothans also used "Ursi" as a first name for some female members.
