The Wantu were a sentient species that hailed from the Outer Rim Territories. The members of this species believed in a river that could heal all wounds.
In 5 ABY, the RA-7 protocol droid FR-D 8T-KA mentioned the Wantu during a conversation with the cyborg Beilert Valance. The protocol droid described them as one of the various Outer Rim cultures that had legends of organics being restored.
