Assurance

Assurance was a CR56 corvette commanded by Captain Pell Baylo during the Republic Era. Under Baylo's command, the corvette had operated in a variety of roles, including in nine planetary defense forces and as commercial security for eight corporations. For some time, Assurance was part of the Diplomatic Fleet of the Galactic Republic's Judicial Forces, although it was booked to later serve Chokoll Indemnity along the Hydian Way—according to Baylo, the starship's name made it popular with insurance companies. Assurance transported Jedi Master Depa Billaba to Keldooine, and Master Mace Windu later arrived on the corvette in order to meet her for a mission to Kwenn. Billaba's own mission, however, had led her to Valboraan, where Assurance later participated in an attack on the base of the Riftwalkers pirate gang. After Assurance assistance in the defense of Kwenn, Windu had the Republic extend its contract with Baylo, also suggesting that he establish a training vessel for the Republic.
