The Aurora Flare was an MC80A Home One Type Heavy Star Cruiser that was part of the Mon Cala Imperial Trade Fleet of the Galactic Empire and carried a shipment of coaxium that was meant to be taken to the Redhurne system. After the trade fleet mutinied, the vessel's captain, Pysk Lila, piloted the Aurora Flare near Imperial Admiral Tyrus Meori's Aquilifer in order to break the Empire's blockade of Mon Cala. Meori's ship fired on the Aurora Flare, causing its shipment to explode. The Aurora Flare was destroyed and the Aquilifer was damaged. The Aurora Flare sacrifice allowed for the remaining vessels to escape the blockade.
