The Eliminator was a Star Destroyer in service to the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. In 0 ABY, around one week after the Battle of Yavin, in which the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station was destroyed, the Eliminator was one of around a dozen Star Destroyers that formed the new core of the Imperial Starfleet.
At that time, the Star Destroyers were assembled in rough formation along with countless transports and smaller ships. As their transport was docking with the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Devastator, which was also a part the fleet, the Imperial personnel designated NO-718 and NY-112 were ordered by their commander to report to Lieutenant Commander Cherik on the Eliminator.
