The Express-class ambassadorial shuttle was a small, sleek shuttle about half the size of a YT-1300 light freighter. As an ambassadorial shuttle, it had spacious passenger compartments with ornate viewscreens offering a 360-degree view of the outside surroundings. In 23 ABY, the Hapan-Dathomiri princess Tenel Ka was transported to Hapes on an Express shuttle known as the Thunder Wraith following a lightsaber training accident at the Jedi Praxeum on the jungle moon Yavin 4 in which the lower part of her left arm was severed.
