Gray Squadron 1 was a BTL-S3 Y-wing starfighter in service to the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. The fighter was part of Gray Squadron during the Battle of Endor, piloted by Gray Leader Colonel Horton Salm with Kin Kian serving as his gunner.
During the Battle of Endor, Gray Squadron 1 was ordered to disable capital ships sitting between General Calrissian's strike force and the second Death Star. Salm flew the fighter into the interior of the battle station alongside other Alliance fighters in an attempt to destroy the Death Star.
