Green Squadron 1 was an RZ-1 A-wing interceptor in service to the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. The fighter was part of Green Squadron during the Battle of Endor, piloted by Green Leader Arvel Crynyd. The fighter was constructed at the zero-gravity Chardaan Shipyards and was deployed as an escort for B-wing and Y-wing attack missions.
During the Battle of Endor, Green Squadron 1 assaulted the Imperial flagship Executor after it had lost its bridge deflector shields. Hit by weapons fire, Crynyd's out-of-control fighter slammed through the Executor-class Star Dreadnought's bridge, resulting in a complete loss of command and control. The Executor subsequently crashed into the second Death Star.
