Ianane Ring

The Ianane Ring was a ring-like structure, the ruins of which orbited the planet Ianane III within the Ianane system of Wild Space. The surface features of the ring had at some point been reduced to black ash, which contrasted with the white color of Ianane III's surface—the result of sunlight reflecting off the deep layer of sand encasing the entire planet. The Ianane Ring was widely believed to be constructed by members of the sentient Celestial species, who had disappeared from the galaxy by 30,000 BBY.
