The Legacy was one of two Star Destroyers that were fitted with an experimental weapons system designed by House Andrim. It was fitted with the weapons system at the Kuat Drive Yards and was sent along with the Burning Vengeance to the planet Belgaroth for testing. House Andrim sent freelance agents to monitor the tests so they could negotiate a fair price for the weapons once their effectiveness was demonstrated.
