Patrol X-wings were X-wing starfighters equipped with Fabritech high-gain recon sensor packages. They were used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic as reconnaissance craft. In preparation for the evacuation of Yavin 4, the Patrol X-wing Snoop 2 made a full perimeter circuit to scan for signs of Imperial incursion or passive observation devices.
