Space dinghy

A space dinghy, commonly called a dinghy, was a stubby, little, plastic-roofed spacecraft used for ferry transit. Its operators, known "ferrymen" or dinghy drivers, piloted the vessel from a side-mounted dome and docked with incoming ships using a dedicated suction tub.

Around 9 ABY, the pirate port of Borgo Prime utilized a number of dinghies to transport crew to and from their ships and the docking area, passing through a port shield. During the same year, the crew of the Onyx Cinder used a Teek ferrman's dinghy to visit the port and subsequently escape from Captain Brutus' crew.
