The Thrantha was a Star Destroyer of the Galactic Empire that was under the command of Captain Torsal. During or after 18 BBY, the Thrantha intercepted a yacht owned by Cellia Moten after it received damage to its engines. Unable to repair the damage, the yacht's captain sent an emergency signal for assistance. As soon as it was sent, the Thrantha exited hyperspace and contacted Moten, revealing that Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine had dispatched them and his emissary, Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader.
