The TIE Fighter Construction Facility was a shipyard orbiting the moon of Nar Shaddaa in Hutt Space. Dedicated to the overwhelming mass production of TIE craft during the Imperial Era, the facility was considered a prime target for those seeking to strike a blow against the Galactic Empire. As such, in 3 BBY the yard was assaulted by the Jedi General Rahm Kota and his militia in an attempt to draw the attention of Dark Lord Darth Vader. However, Vader instead sent his apprentice to blunt the attack, with the latter dueling and defeating Kota.
