TIE/IN Interceptor Prototype

The TIE/IN Interceptor Prototype was a prototype TIE/IN interceptor utilized by the Second Sister, an Inquisitor and Jedi hunter of the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius during the Great Jedi Purge.

In 14 BBY, the Second Sister used the interceptor to the planet Bracca to investigate reports of a Jedi. Sometime later, the Second Sister used the ship to travel to the planet Ontotho to again investigate rumors of a lightsaber wielding foe as the Empire attempted to pacify the world.

Around three years before the Battle of Yavin, the Empire began to deploy TIE Interceptors broadly.
