The TIE/rc was a model of reconnaissance TIE series starfighter that was used by the Galactic Empire. It was a variant produced from the base TIE/ln space superiority starfighter by fitting the standard model's fuselage with specialized equipment. For the TIE/rc, this meant replacing the TIE/ln's laser cannons with a suite of advanced sensor equipment to serve specifically for reconnaissance and surveillance missions.
