The VT-49 Decimator was a prestige starship used by the naval forces of the Galactic Empire. It could drop firebombs and was used in raiding parties against enemy infantry. In the Imperial starfleet, receiving command of a VT-49 Decimator was considered an honor. The Dauntless was one VT-49 Decimator in service to the Empire. Morna Kee, a skilled Imperial pilot and officer, was at one point in her career in command of a VT-49 Decimator. Other Imperial officers given command of VT-49 Decimators were Rear Admiral Chiraneau and Captain Barrow Oicunn.
