Actuating module
Canon Legends version → Linked from 8 articles
An actuating module was a modification that could be added to a blaster for 500 credits. Mercenaries, bounty hunters, and others used the modules because it provided extra power to a weapon, although it also increased the weapon's recoil.
In 3 ABY the scoundrel Kay Vess used actuating modules to modify the firing rate and power of her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.
