Behavioral collar

A special model of behavioral collar was used by the Galactic Empire. The collar was kept on lurca hounds under the Empire's control, and could be used—via the external control of a droid—to influence the behavior and movements of the hounds. A group of lurca hounds on the planet Wayland wore the collars during or after 18 BBY, which were controlled by the droid K-9X1. The hound Batcher was marked for termination after the clone Omega domesticated her. To save Batcher, Omega freed her from the collar's control and released her into the wild.
