The blast-rifle was a type of weapon used during the Great Sith War. At the time, they were the latest innovation in weapons technology and fired short laser beams that inflicted severe heat damage on their targets. Core World Arms manufactured the BR1-Z blast-rifle. Blast-rifles were wielded by the Beast Riders of Onderon.
Blast-rifles were considered to be the forerunners to the modern blaster by the time of the Galactic Civil War. Weapons collectors highly prized blast-rifles, and they could sell for extremely high prices.
