Catch vest

A catch vest was a type of armor made from tightly-woven energy absorbing fibers that could partially diffuse a potentially lethal blaster bolt. The innocuous vests were indistinguishable from regular clothing and were an excellent choice for the many galactic travellers who wished to safeguard against the prevelance of blaster use in the galaxy without advertising that they had an extra layer of protection.

Catch vests cost three hundred credits and were easy to find for purchase during the Galactic Civil War. They were commonly worn by well-traveled Corellians and saved the lives of many free-traders.
