Chronoscanner

A chronoscanner was a portable scanner used on Bardotta, an isolated world in the Colonies region of the galaxy. Chronoscanners were important to the Bardottans, in that they were used to identify the chemical composition of an object rapidly and estimating its date of manufacture to within a century. As theft of ancient artifacts was a serious crime on Bardotta, port security used the devices to scan cargo being taken offworld to ensure there was no illegal smuggling.
