Cloaking coat

Cloaking coats were used by many slicers to bypass automated detection measures. A skilled slicer typically considered avoiding detection by sensors and probes the most crucial aspect of breaching security, while spies, thieves, and saboteurs preferred more expensive personal stealth fields. These heavy, full-body suits could be built or purchased and were outfitted with jamming suites designed to mask the wearer's presence from electronic detection. A cloaking coat’s automated systems kept the wearer hidden by constantly broadcasting an obscuring cloud of junk data. This specialized array did nothing to prevent visual recognition but could baffle almost any scanner. A skilled slicer could even modify the signal on the fly to confuse droid brains into disregarding the wearer.
