Contained energy axe

A contained energy axe was a type of laser ax that, until activated, could be quickly mistaken for a standard vibro-ax. The contained energy axe used a diatium power cell that when activated, it made a magnetically contained energy blade along the edge of the ax head, rather than relying on ultrasonic vibrations for its cutting power.

While the ax relied on raw strength to inflict substantial damage, the upgrade of a centimeter of plasma along its cutting edge allowed the axe to slice through most materials easily.
