CR-8 takedown rifle

The CR-8 takedown rifle was a high-performance blaster rifle produced by Corellian Arms. Designed to arm Corellian Security Forces snipers and secret agents, the CR-8 was built to exacting standards; long, deadly, and made for long-range pinpoint accuracy, measuring just shy of two meters. The CR-8's modified firing system used a supercharged actuator, upgraded XCiter, and a high-output proprietary blaster gas to improve ranged accuracy by reducing beam refraction and degradation and increase firepower. However, the CR-8 produced inordinate amounts of heat, which was offset by a low rate of fire.
Equipped with composite, lightweight furniture, including a precision barrel, a high-powered optical sight, and an integrated energy damper to reduce report and muzzle flash, the weapon was unique because of its transportability, able to be quickly and easily disassembled into its five core components; barrel, stock, receiver, sight, and energy damper. Ostensibly to assist in carrying and storage, the takedown feature, combined with a unique matte finish, made the CR-8 nearly impossible to find when hidden and attractive to professional killers.
