A credit chip talisman was a type of charm that consisted of a worn credit chip and was believed my smugglers to bring luck while committing illicit activities.

In 3 ABY, a group of windfishers on the Outer Rim moon Toshara owned a number of charms, including a credit chip talisman. That year, the windfishers had a difficult season and were unable to pay off a group a pirates with their usual aglis flyers and instead the pirates took took all of their belongings, including their charms. Afterwards a one of the windfishers began surveying the pirate's camp in Mirogana Valley from the balcony of Makal's Gambling Parlor in the city Mirogana.

Later that year, scoundrel Kay Vess approached the human windfisher on the balcony and asked what they were looking at. After hearing the story, Vess offered to sneak in and steal back the charms. Vess later recovered the charms from the pirate camp and returned to the windfisher who rewarded her with 150 credits as well as the credit chip talisman.
