The Defender 01-X was a model of battle droid that saw use during the Cold War. Similar to the Defender 03-Z but lacking a shield, the Defender 01-X carried a blaster rifle, and a number of them were deployed to protect the satellite control tower on the Markaran Plains of the planet Balmorra.
