DTX detector satellite

A DTX detector satellite was a type of satellite capable of detecting energy sources. During the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, a loose web-grid of sixteen DTX detector satellites orbited the barren Mid Rim moon Uridia. The satellites were controlled from workstation in the Imperial Aquaculture Facility on the moon's surface. Due to frequent malfunctions, disruptions to the network did not elicit a quick response from the Imperials monitoring the satellite sensors.

During the war, a group of Rebels traveled to Uridia to investigated the Aquaculture Facility. They were able to bypassed the satellite network using the Gambit, a Luxury 2800 yacht, by flying through a gap in the network's sensor coverage.
