Durasteel coils were a type of starship component. By 3 ABY, pirates in the Khepi system modified these type of coils to constantly funnel low levels of energy to a ships repair systems in order to help survive the corrosive effects of the Sayma Nebula. A set of coils were stashed in a container in a hangar in Hauler's Keep.
In 3 ABY, the scoundrel Kay Vess discovered the reinforced coils and used them to upgrade the Trailblazer, her EML-850 light freighter.
