Earbud comlinks, also called ear comlinks, In-Ear Comlinks or earpieces, were small comlinks that could fit within a user's ear. They could be activated by touching an ear or by clicking one's teeth. Once activated, earbud comlinks allowed their user to talk normally or subvocally. They were powered by low-output power cells and had significantly less range than normal comlinks and could work in tandem with another comlink like at the wrist or a display in a starship cockpit. Earbud comlinks costed 75 credits on the market and were popular among spies, ambassadors, and the criminal underground.
