An electro-jabber was a hand-held shock device. It was similar to a stun baton, only older and more simplified. They gave the victim a violent and very painful shock.

Electro-jabbers were some of the torture devices used by the Death Star's IT-0 interrogation droid on Princess Leia Organa while she was held in captivity.

During Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's mission to Romin, during a party, the dictator of the planet used an electro-jabber on a waiter for serving a food item at the wrong time.
