Escape circuit

An escape circuit was a cybernetic implant that allowed droids to resist a restraining bolt. Only installable in droids, the escape circuit was an internal system that functioned much like cybernetics in organics, augmenting the droid's verbobrain. As a result, the recipient could resist or even overload a restraining bolt with concentrated effort. Free droids who objected to being victims of a restraining bolt had an escape circuit installed by a droid tech. During the Galactic Civil War, an escape circuit cost 1,000 credits.
