Formal Council armor

Formal Council armor was an ornate suit of armor used uncommonly by members of the Jedi Order on diplomatic missions. The armor was used particularly on missions where Jedi would be meeting with cultures who expected ostentatious demonstrations of wealth by their ruling classes, and expected a Republic negotiator to abide by these cultural norms. Formal Council armor were comparable in function to more common armored Jedi robes, this armor incorporated a variety of inlays, artistic flourishes, and semiprecious metals and gemstones. Each suit was custom-crafted for the occasion.

By the time of the Galactic Empire, Formal Council armor was almost unknown and had a cost of 8,000 credits.
