The Fort IV (Japanese: フォートⅣ) was a wall-mounted autoturret used by the Galactic Empire to protect the corridors and walkways in their first Death Star. They were capable of detecting and blasting intruders.
Luke Skywalker, just prior to rescuing Princess Leia Organa in 0 BBY, encountered these droids while exploring the Death Star.
