Grappling turret

Grappling turrets were a type of turret that could be equipped on starships and were used to ensnare targets at long range. YV-865 Aurore-class freighters in use as slaving ships could be equipped with aft-mounted grappling turrets, which could fire when the bay doors were opened. Afterward, victims would be reeled into the ship's cargo bay. Shots fired at long range could be difficult to perform and the Aurores were often moving; as a result, they would often fly in closer to their targets to make the grappling turrets' shots easier to aim. However, this also rendered the starships more vulnerable.
