The GT-01 Portable Power Unit was a model of supporting power droid used by the the Shroud, a freelance spy active during the Galactic War, the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire after the uneasy truce between the two galactic governments broke down. The Shroud's lieutenant Stangg employed GT-01 droids among the forces that defended the Shroud's base on the planet Quesh.
