Around 20 BBY, Wookiee Jedi Initiate Gungi created his own lightsaber aboard the Crucible, under the assistance of Professor Huyang. He used it on Florrum, in the Second battle of Florrum. The weapon produced a green blade and was constructed of a metallic casing around the saber's internal components. The hilt was constructed of a layer of wood over the metal casing. The wood used was of the Brylark tree, whose bark was as strong as metal.
