Larger and more powerful, the comlinks were housed in impact- and weather-proof casing, boasting a signal booster that boosted broadcast strength, satellite uplink capability, shielded circuits, and integrated active encryption. Types of hardened comlink included the TaggeCo Shockhold Hardened Comlink and Naboo Technologies Secure-A3 Comlink. Hardened comlinks sold for 450 credits during the Galactic Civil War.
