A hydro-servo bearing connected laser cannons to the wingtips of RZ-1 A-wing interceptors. The short bearing allowed the cannons to elevate or depress by as much as sixty degrees, allowing the A-wing to fire on targets from wider angles. Some A-wings had hydro-servo bearings that allowed the starfighter to swivel the cannons through a full three hundred sixty degrees and allow it to fire straight behind the craft.
