The Imperial Badge of Meritorious Service was an Imperial badge awarded by Imperial High Command to individuals who were an "outstanding example of heroism and bravery."
One such badge was awarded to a spacer who served Emperor's Hand Mara Jade dutifully during the Empire Day festivities, in 1 ABY. The Imperial successfully rescued six Imperial officers from a prison facility in a hidden Rebel base on Corellia.
The Rebel Alliance had a similar award named Rebel Alliance Badge of Valor.
