Magna bolas, or magna bolos, were a type of bola that consisted of three metallic, magnetic spheres connected by a thin metallic wire. The weapon could be thrown to entangle a target. The bola cost 500 credits and weighed one kilogram. The Human bounty hunter Khlor was skilled with manga bolas and utilized them in his duties during the Imperial Era. During the Galactic Civil War, Big Jak Targrim—leader of the Riders of the Maelstrom pirates—carried magna bolas.
