The Malarian laser pistol was a type of handheld laser weapon used in the galaxy during the last years of the Galactic Republic. During the year 22 BBY, on the planet Ansion, two of the pistols were carried by Borokii warriors who were in the group of sentinels that welcomed a Jedi delegation coming to negotiate a treaty between the Borokii, the ruling clan of Ansionian nomads, the Alwari, and the more technologically-advanced city-dwelling Ansionians represented by the Unity Council.
