Miner droids were automatons used by the Trade Federation on the Outer Rim volcano planet Eos. The droids mined Eos for the droid factory there. The droids were oval-shaped and followed set routes. In 32 BBY, Vana Sage encountered the droids after escaping a Trade Federation contract infringement.
