A monosaccharide ribbon was an award given at the Tri-System Sugary Mass Bake-Off competition. Dex's Diner, a restaurant on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant was the proud winner of three monosaccharide ribbons which the diner's menu used to prompt their favorite desserts section that included zoochberry cobbler, Kubindian royal jelly roll, and sticky sweetmallow squares.
